After years and years of prototypes and announcements from which the technology would arrive at the market in just a short time, finally Toshiba has become the first manufacturer of electronic equipment in sending a device that uses technology DMFC (cells of energy to methanol). The Dynario, a shipper who can load the batteries of equipment like movable telephones or digital cameras via USB, arrived at the official store from Toshiba this week.
At the moment the sales will be limited 3,000 units with an unit cost of 328 dollars, whereas the bottles of charge, with 50 milliliters of methanol, cost 35 dollars although Toshiba gives 5 bottles with each purchase realized during next the thirty days. Technology DMFC produces electricity of a reaction between methanol, water and air; and the unique consequence is a small amount of carbon dioxide and aqueous vapour.
Another advantage of this technology is that the equipment only can be recharged with new cartridges or containers of methanol in some seconds and soon are ready to return to generate more energy electrical. The shipper has a size similar to a movable telephone, although it is little more length than the majority, with 15 cm in length. According to the informed thing, a single shipper of 50 milliliters of methanol will allow to recharge the movable telephone twice.
As they can notice, this amount causes that these first models are a very expensive form to recharge the batteries but the analysts wait for an important fall in the costs once the technology has a massive use.
